Flail Mowers are useful for jobs where you are cutting grass on uneven ground, high grass, weeds, brush, and other debris. A flail mower doesn t throw grass, instead it cuts finely and leaves the cuttings on the ground where it was cut making it an excellent choice for those places where you could cause damage by throwing debris. Highway mowing and park maintenance often use flail mowers because they are less likely to throw objects during cutting.The EFGCM Series (Field & Brush) Flail Mower is an option if you are working on un-even ground, brush, stumps, and other items that your mower must handle. This M Series mower has a double re-enforced curved deck and stronger 3-pt connection that can handle the twisting forces that occur when only one side of your mower deck is on the ground. With its fast blade tip speed and interchangeable blades it is perfect for your grounds keeping tasks. If you need to maintain grass and cover crops, install the optional Grass blades. This model is great for acreage 15+.

Gear Box
The EFGCM Series has a rugged cast iron gearbox. The gearbox has a continuous rating of 65 HP.

Bearings
Bearings are greasable and replaceable. Sizing is standard and can be purchased at any local bearing shop.

Blade Arrangement
Flail mowers come in different sizes. The EFGCM Series sizes vary from 83 – 92 inches. The number of flail blades and their arrangement varies. Blades are measured as blades per foot of rotor. A mower with a large number of blades gives a closer and cleaner cut than a mower with fewer blades.

Blade (Knife) Options
When the shaft or axle rotates at a high speed on the mower, the attached flail blades are pushed out by centrifugal force and sever grass, weeds and brush. The EFGCM Series available blades are Hammer blades (27 oz./766g) . Designed for brush; up to 3 in diameter. These blades may be sharpened and used for lawn grooming. Grass Y blades (10.9 oz./309g). These blades provide a finer and smoother finish.

Cutting Height
Cutting height can be adjusted by the tractor s 3-Pt hitch or by the mowers adjustable rear roller. The EFGCM Series can be adjusted to cut grass 1/4 – 6 inches. Mower is also equipped with anti-scalping side rails and a tapered roller to ensure smooth turns.

Adjustable Offset
Right Side Offset is very helpful if you are working around fence lines, trees or other item s in the field. The offset is the addition to ½ the total mowing width. The distance is listed in the specifications table is the addition that is added to ½ the mowing width from center of the gearbox to the right cutting edge.
